Liberal Democrat Group at County Hall Announce Leader, Deputy and Spokesman

Following a successful election campaign which saw the Liberal Democrats rise to the main opposition party at County Hall, the group have today revealed their Leader, Deputy and shadow spokespersons for the upcoming term. They are as follows:

Leader: Paul Morse

Deputy Leader: Mervyn Scutter

Spokespersons

Adult Social Services: James Joyce

Children's Services: Mervyn Scutter

Corporate Affairs: Diana Clarke

Planning, Transport, Environment & Waste: Tim East

Health Overview & scrutiny: David Harrison

Fire & Community Protection: David Callaby

Economic Development: Dr Marie Strong

Cultural Services: Fiona Williamson

Norfolk Police Authority: Brian Hannah

Planning (Regulatory): David Harrison

Commercial Services: Mike Brindle

Newly re-elected Group Leader, Paul Morse, expressed his excitement at the make-up of his new Shadow Cabinet, "Im really looking forward to working with this group over the next four years. We have gathered together a team of talented, professionally experienced councilors from a wide range of backgrounds that will bring some fresh impetus into the County Council as well as being effective local representatives."
