David Harrison
Health Spokesperson
David is a scientist who spent most of his working life in medical and biological research in the UK and abroad. For the past fifteen years he has been teaching science in local schools. David regularly attends his Parish Council's meetings, was very active in the campaign to prevent the closure of St Michael's Hospital in Aylsham, and is working hard to maintain the standard of health care in the community.
David is currently a member of Norfolk County Council, Broadland District Council, and Aylsham Town Council. Being on all three councils means that he is able to help residents with problems in all tiers of local government and David works hard on issues relating to Aylsham and its surrounding parishes. He has lived in Aylsham for 17 years and prior to that lived 10 years in the nearby village of Erpingham where he was District Councillor.
"I enjoy helping people and get a lot of satisfaction when I get a problem resolved. Progress is slow in local government and I take a pride in pushing it forward."

"In North Norfolk I spearheaded the integration of the SDP and Liberal parties into the Liberal Democrats. I was one of the first Liberal Democrat Councillors on the North Norfolk District Council. At that time the Council had two Lib Dems 3 Labour and the rest were Conservative/Independent. Things have changed a lot since then and North Norfolk is now a solid Liberal Democrat parliamentary seat."
Married to Ruth, with two daughters, one a nurse, the other a para-medic.
