
Mervyn Scutter

Originally from Hampshire Mervyn has lived in Eaton, Norwich for over 30years. Professionally, Mervyn spent three years working as a statistician and Quality Control Superintendent with a local company before taking up a lecturing role at Norwich City College. Here he lectured in Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research as well as being Director of the 'A' level provision. Now retired he was first elected to the County Council in 2001 to represent Eaton and has been the Liberal Democrat spokesperson on Education and Children's Services ever since.
"I wanted to use my ability and experience to try to make a difference for young people by improving the Council's provision for them and to try to help the constituents of Eaton, particularly the disadvantaged, in their dealings with the County Council."
