Tim has lived in Costessey for almost 50 years and has more than 27 years experience as a district and parish councillor. Professionally Tim has previously worked as a Senior Executive officer in the MOD and is a former headteacher. He has been a county councillor since 1997 and has had a wide range of roles in this time including Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation. Tim's overriding political interest is helping local people solve problems and he is incredibly active in the local community. He has served as Chairman of South Norfolk Council, Vice Chairman of South Norfolk Planning Committee, President of the Dereham and District NUT (National Union of Teachers), a Police Authority Member, school governor and magistrate. Tim has mobility problems as a result of contracting polio in his right leg in 1948 and this also means he is a vociferous campaigner for equal opportunities for disabled people
Tim lives in Costessey with his wife and has two grown up children.
